Let’s collaborate…

  • Learn. Heal. Thrive.

Counseling or out patient talk therapy is a great option if you are looking to better understand yourself and how you relate to this world, especially in regards to your neurodivergence.  Counseling clients are often eager to be here and learn about themselves and how they can create a life that is congruent to who they are and what they need.  Whether or not you have an official diagnosis, many neurodivergent people will live at a speed of life that feels required of them and then burn out and wonder how to pick up the pieces and get their life back.  Other clients will look to find answers about whether or not their suspicions of being neurodivergent are correct.  And lastly, some clients just need help from someone who understands the intricacies and day to day experiences of neurodivergent individuals...These are all places that therapy can support.

    Specifics about Counseling:

    • We accept Aetna Insurance, Out of Pocket, and are NCSEAA approved!

    • Sessions are $200 for the first session/ intake; and a sliding scale of $150-$200 for sessions following

    • Counseling sessions are 50 minutes long.

    • Sessions are given on a routinized schedule, meaning that you will likely have the same time session weekly, bi-weekly.

    • NACC requires treatment to begin with weekly sessions for at least a month.  After this, the client and therapist can discuss whether or not dropping down at that time is wise.  This is to better support establishing a healthy and safe fit between the therapist and client.  This is unique to NACC, but we find it to be necessary to establish the relationship that is needed between a therapist and a neurodivergent individual.

    • If using insurance, a diagnosis will be needed to be added to your file.

    • Client must be located in the state of North Carolina at the time of sessions.

  • Challenge. Commit. Grow.

Coaching is a great option if you are not looking to go so deep and want to get things done in a new and different way.  Coaching is for the clients who want to solely focus on the specific goals that they have and see them achieved.  Coaching is more focused than counseling tends to be, and is more goal oriented.  This can feel overwhelming or intimidating for some of us neurodivergent people who have struggled with goal setting and following through before...but I promise this is different! One of the biggest obstacles that clients have faced before finding coaching is that they not only couldn't follow through to accomplish the goal they wanted, but now they also feel like a failure and that it can never be achieved.  I want to help you learn how you learn and set you up for success.  We will use evidence based practices to help get you moving through your goals, instead of feeling stuck by them.

    Specifics about Coaching:

    • Sessions are $200 for the first session/ intake; and a sliding scale rate of $150-$200 for sessions following

      • With coaching there is the added option of opting into an Accountability Correspondence: this allows your coach to have set times to check in via text or email throughout the week to help with goal keeping and follow through.  This options is available for an extra $25/ week depending on check in needs.

    • Counseling sessions are 50 minutes long.

    • Sessions are given on a routinized schedule, meaning that you will likely have the same time session weekly, bi-weekly.

    • No diagnosis is needed, although if you have one, then we will utilize specific supports that are helpful for individual diagnoses.

    • Client can be located anywhere in the world, not limited to just in the state of North Carolina.

What makes NACC so special?

  • We are different, on purpose!

Because we exclusively work with neurodivergent folx, getting the “right fit” isn’t just a good idea, it is a necessity. I don’t just want to find the “good enough fit”, I strive to work with those clients that are perhaps even a “great fit”. I want to work with clients who get excited to work with me and who I get excited to work with!  If both parties are eager and excited to explore your world together, then I notice that the work is that much more accessible for the client to attain healing, growth and authenticity.

  • If you are seeking counseling or perhaps if you already suspect or know that you are neurodivergent, let's make sure that we are on the same page about who I am trained to support specifically:

    Autism Spectrum Disorder

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, any presentation

    Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Generalized Anxiety Disorder and other Anxiety Disorders

  • I believe in making treatment accessible for all and that all are welcome.  I practice this in the work I do, as well as the space I hold.  I want all to feel welcome and that they are supported here. If you are neurodivergent and experience the following, we may a good fit:

    Recently/ Late diagnosis

    Life Transition Difficulties

    LGTBQIA+

    Kink/ Poly informed and aware

    Sensory Processing Concerns and Difficulties

Understanding and processing a late diagnosis of neurodivergence

Wondering whether or not to get an official diagnosis?

Wanting to better determine if you are neurodivergent

Learning more about your own neurodivergence

Processing trauma or difficulties from being neurodivergent

    Bringing acceptance to your neurodivergence

Learning about your masking or how to begin unmasking

Learning how to get unstuck from Neurodivergent Burnout

Breaking out of rigid cycles/ patterns

Setting yourself up for success with regards to your neurodivergence

Experiencing overwhelm or with transitions or big life changes

Getting support for emotional regulation (when emotions feel really big, a lot of the time)

    Enhancing psychological flexibility and resilience

  • I believe that counseling and coaching are both a science and an art. I love to utilize evidence based practices and treatments that have been researched and tested and blending these with modalities and practices that provide meaning and fulfillment, these include:

    Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
